Welcome to our Website

This site brings the concert organ and theatre organ performances of Reginald Foort to a wider audience. In its heyday in the early 20th century the concert organ, also known as the theatre organ or cinema organ, enjoyed great popularity for performances of light music as well as the classics. Among the concert organ’s greatest and most popular exponents was Reginald Foort, whose performances on the Giant Möller Concert Organ (1938-51) were broadcast over many years on BBC Radio. Later Reginald Foort became a renowned performer in the USA, and his Möller Concert Organ was also later to follow him across the Atlantic, first to San Diego and later to Pasadena, California.

Enthusiasts for the theatre organ and cinema organ, as well as lovers of light music in general, will find much enjoyment in this new series of digitally remastered CDs of Reginald Foort’s recordings now available from Phoenix Historic Records.
